It’s Rob!
At the start of 2026, Kith underwent something of a transformation. For so long, this land was looked after by Lorna and Simon, alongside running the Learning Community. Both jobs were quite a lot for one family! In January 2026, a new role was born especially for Robin - Homestead Manager.
Robin has stepped in to take care of the land and use his skills to bring it to life in new and brilliant ways. Having lived self-sustainably in the past, Rob has been keen to get back to that way of living. He wants the garden to burst with fruit and vegetables to feed him and his family. He wants to expand our workshop to practice his incredible woodworking skills. And he wants to cultivate bonsai trees!
Rob has a wealth of experience in the garden and is passionate about making growing accessible for everyone. This will not only be a garden for him but one in which our Learning Community can collaborate to sow, tend, pick and - yes - to eat as well. He is excited to share his skills with us too, mentoring our kids to become skilled craftspeople like himself. To be honest, all you have to do is stand next to him for five minutes and you’ll learn something new about our natural world!
Whether you come for a workshop to learn from him, are part of the Learning Community enjoying the infrastructure he creates, or simply passing through a space that is loved and cared for - everyone who visits Kith will no doubt enjoy a piece of Rob's wonderful knowledge.
